Terms & Conditions — Blood Donor Directory

English only മലയാളം हिन्दी ಕನ್ನಡ
  1. This is a directory only. VICTORIA INSTITUTIONS does not collect, store, test, handle or transport blood in any way, is not a blood bank, and holds no blood-bank license — none is needed to run a contact directory of this kind. This page simply lists people who have told us they are willing to be contacted about donating blood, and lets someone in need reach them directly.

  2. Donation through this directory is free and voluntary. Buying or selling blood is not allowed in India: following the Supreme Court's directions, since 1 January 1998 blood may be collected only from voluntary donors who receive no payment. A donor must not ask for, and no one may offer, money — or any gift or favour in place of money — for a donation. A listing found offering blood for payment will be removed, and may be reported to the authorities.

  3. Nobody's medical eligibility to donate is checked by us, at any point. A donor's listing reflects their own self-declaration, made at the time they registered — not a medical assessment, and not a guarantee that they are currently fit to donate. Standard donation eligibility depends on age, weight, general health, recent illness, recent donation, and other factors that can change at any time; VICTORIA INSTITUTIONS plays no part in assessing any of this.

  4. If you contact a listed donor, it remains entirely between the two of you — and, when donation actually goes ahead, the hospital or blood bank involved — to confirm eligibility, arrange the donation, and satisfy yourselves the donation is safe and appropriate. VICTORIA INSTITUTIONS is not a party to that arrangement and accepts no responsibility for its outcome.

  5. You register using Google sign-in. This proves you control the Google account you signed in with — it does not itself verify your real-world identity, your blood group, or your fitness to donate.

  6. Your phone number is not shown on the directory unless you choose to show it. By default, a visitor who wants to reach you uses a small WhatsApp link that connects them to you without your number appearing on the page or in its source. If you tick "Show my phone number" when registering or updating, your number is shown next to your name on your town's donor page, where anyone can see, copy or call it. VICTORIA INSTITUTIONS cannot control how others use a number you choose to show. You can untick this at any time.

  7. Because eligibility to donate can change, we will ask you by email to reconfirm your listing periodically. If you do not respond within a reasonable time, your listing is quietly removed from public view — your details are kept, not deleted, so registering again later does not mean starting from nothing.

  8. You may reconfirm, update, or withdraw your own listing at any time by signing in again here.

  9. Do not register on behalf of someone else, or provide false information. VICTORIA INSTITUTIONS may remove any listing, at its own discretion, without explanation.

  10. We are not liable for temporary unavailability of the webpage due to server or technical issues beyond our control.

  11. These terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Nadapuram, Calicut district in Kerala.

  12. These terms are written in English, and the English text governs. The translation shown under each point is there to help you understand it; if the two ever differ, the English text applies.
